TEMPESTT is a Jackson native with over 15 years of dance performance and choreography experience.  Her background in various dance genres and styles include ballet, modern, jazz, and tap.  Her most present influences are reggae dancehall, breaking, African, and New Jack Swing. Tempestt describes herself as a freestyle dancer, pulling from the various forms of dance her body has saved in its memory over the years.

 

Tempestt graduated from Macalester College in Saint Paul, MN and was head choreographer and president of the institution’s hip hop dance team BODACIOUS for three years.   As a former member of old school hip hop dance company Epitome-No- Question (Minneapolis, MN)  and Phase 1 Dance Crew (Jackson, MS) she has performed in several arts events, dance showcases, and dance battles.

 

Currently Tempestt teaches dance and cardio classes at Salsa MS Club and Studio in the Fondren Community in Jackson, MS.  Follow her on social media for upcoming dance projects, classes, and events.
